Ruping WANG is an Assistant Professor teaching all levels of Contemporary Dance Techniques, History of Western Dance, and Dance Performance at the Department of Dance, University of Taipei. Wang had been a member of the José Limón Dance Company, the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, the Mary Anthony Dance Theatre, the Martha Graham Dance Company, the Repertory Dance Theatre Utah, the Taipei Crossover Dance Company, the Taipei Folk Dance Theatre, and the Taipei Chamber Ballet. During her professional dancing career, Wang has had privileges working with such masters as Ross Parkes, Mary Anthony, Carla Maxwell, Jim May, Risa Steinberg, Susanne Linke, Stephen Koester, Abby Fiat, Doug Varone, HwaiMing Lin, ManFei Lo, Lar Lubvidge, Linda Smith, and Molissa Fenley. Wang served as an Artist-In-Residence at the Weber State University, the University of Utah,  the Hong Kong Academy of the Performing Arts, and a full time lecture in the School of Dance, Taipei National University of the Arts. Besides teaching and performing, Wang also writes for the Performing Arts Review magazine in Taiwan. She has published an e-book named NYC Dance Map in 2009.

2014   Dance with Crossed Arms- a dance of 14 men created on dancers of the Dept. of Dance, University of Taipei.

2013   Tides- a dance of 7 women created on dancers of the Dept. of Dance, University of Taipei.

2012   Vary- a dance of 15 women created on dancers of the Dept. of Dance, University of Taipei.

Rated R- a full evening length production presented on the 6th Taipei Fringe Festival.

Chasing Chess- a dance of 11 women and 2 men created on the dancers of the Dept. of Dance, University of Taipei.        

2011   Ava Maria- a dance of 12 women created on the dancers of the Dept. of Dance, University of Taipei.

2005   Dancers’ Diary- a full evening production of solos and duets presented by the Tso’s Dance Association.
