Yi-jung Wu received her Ph.D. in dance and an Emerging Dance Scholar Award from Temple University, USA in 2005 and an MA in dance from Teachers College, Columbia University in 1998, focusing on dance education for children, dance curriculum design, and dance pedagogy. She is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Dance at University of Taipei, Taiwan, where she teaches Dance Education in School, Dance Teaching Practicum, Dance Pedagogy, Selected Readings in Dance, Research in Dance Education, and Action Research. She has been sitting in the board of Dance Research Society, Taiwan since 2006, and served as Executive Secretary for the Dance Research Society, Taiwan from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, she also served as Chief Editor of the 8th Issue of Taiwan Dance Research Journal. Her research papers, which mainly focused on creative dance for children and preservice education for dance teachers in recent years, have been presented or published in international dance conferences hosted in USA, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Taiwan as well as in Taiwan Dance Research Journal.
