Zhe-Bing Xu is an associate professor in the Department of Dance at University of Taipei, Taiwan, specializing in ballet pedagogy, contemporary pedagogy and dance composition. He holds an M.F.A. in Dance from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, and B.F.A. from Dance College, Taipei National University of the Arts. 

As a student, he participated in Hong Kong International Dance College Festival and performed section of “Crossing the Black Water” by Lin Hwai-Ming, appeared in "Les Noces" by Bronislava Nijinska, and danced Michael Forkine’s “Les Sylphides.” He was also honored by dancing with Australia National Ballet and France Youth Ballet while they performed in Taiwan.

While serving in the Military Entertainment Group I between1994-1995, he choreographed for the group and won the Best Dancer title twice at the annual Military Performing Arts Competition.

As a graduate student at the New York University between1996-1998, he presented two choreographic works at the United States Dance Festival, and was a member of 2nd Ave. Dance Company, a student group of New York University.

In addition to his regular teaching work at the university, he had the experiences of teaching at the various dance classes, judged at the annual student dance competition, and served as member of committee in the dance class evaluation of Taiwan.

He has the credit of being the choreographer of 32 works, the last effort was  “Untraveled Worlds” presented in 2021 at the National Concert Hall by University of Taipei.
